Ability in Action: How Inspiration Station Partners with UCP Central PA to Champion Inclusion

For more than seventy years, UCP Central PA has championed one powerful belief: every person has abilities worth celebrating and a future worth investing in. We are proud to stand alongside them in bringing that belief to life through inclusive employment at Inspiration Station Early Learning Center.

UCP Central PA’s recent feature in CityBiz highlights how inclusion, opportunity, and support can transform lives across Pennsylvania—and we are honored that Inspiration Station is part of that story.

Inclusion in Action at Inspiration Station

Inclusive employment is not just a philosophy for us—it is a daily practice rooted in respect, dignity, and opportunity.

Through our partnership with UCP Central PA Employment Services, we welcomed Molly Hosey to our team. After years in retail, Molly was seeking work that felt purposeful and aligned with her strengths. With guidance and support from UCP, she found her calling at Inspiration Station, where she now cares for infants in our Snuggles room.

Molly’s warmth, dependability, and genuine love for children have made her an essential part of our classroom community.

“Molly’s cheerful spirit shines with the children, and she brings positivity to her team every day,” says Jennifer Peck, Owner and Director of Inspiration Station. “She embraces feedback, continues to grow, and consistently demonstrates our core values.”

With support from UCP Employment Specialist Shannon Batchelor, Molly was able to prepare for interviews, understand expectations, and build confidence—proof that the right support can unlock potential that already exists.

Why Inclusive Employment Matters in Early Childhood Education

At Inspiration Station, we know children learn by example. Inclusive employment allows our classrooms to reflect the real world—one where everyone contributes differently, and everyone belongs.

This partnership:

  • Strengthens our team culture
  • Models empathy and inclusion for children
  • Creates meaningful employment opportunities
  • Builds a more compassionate community

Inclusive hiring is not about accommodation—it’s about recognizing ability.

A Shared Mission with UCP Central PA

Today, UCP Central PA supports dozens of individuals in meaningful employment across local businesses, advancing Pennsylvania’s Employment First initiative and strengthening workplaces throughout the region.

We are grateful to UCP Central PA for their leadership, guidance, and unwavering commitment to inclusion. Their work allows organizations like ours to move beyond intention and into real, measurable impact.

Looking Ahead

We are proud of the role Inspiration Station plays in building a more inclusive future—one where opportunity is not limited by labels, and where ability is recognized, supported, and celebrated.

Stories like Molly’s remind us that when doors are opened with intention, lives are changed—and communities grow stronger.
